When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up - Psalms 27:10.
Parental abandonment is a dreadful thing to go through. According to the verse above, this is true. Perhaps it is the situation you are in now. The betrayal and abandonment that people experience nowadays come in many different forms. It is truly possible to become frustrated and lose faith in God when the things we wish for fail to materialize.
Perhaps all of your friends have deserted you, or your marriage proposal, for which you had such high hopes, has been lost. Don't give up yet! I just have one thing to say to you: "It's not over!" There is still hope!
God is speaking to us through the book of Psalms, which King David penned many years ago. Are you facing a situation akin to your mother or father abandoning you. Even though you haven't been getting the best of the present season, you are undoubtedly moving closer to the good one, in Jesus name.
In Isaiah 55:8, it read, for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
According to this verse, God's ways and thoughts are totally different from those of man. Do you believe that God is to blame for your circumstances? It's not necessary to blame God. This is because God has the power to turn ugly circumstances in your favor.
Hallelujah!
You only need to begin praising God. When praise rises, according to the song's author, blessings follow. Most of the time, people ignorantly blame God for all of their flaws and limitations. They say, "God, you are the cause of all my problems."
Sadly, because God is our maker and we are to worship Him, we cannot hold Him accountable. I like to share the biblical story of a great woman. She went by the name Hannah. Hannah, which means "grace" in Hebrew, was one of Elkanah's wives mentioned in the book of First Samuel.
As recorded, Hannah was the mother of Samuel. She was a barren woman until Samuel was born. In the Old Testament, people blamed God for blocking Hannah's womb. In fact, it was common to claim that God was behind all unfortunate events.
However, a good student of the Bible can agree with the possibility that those living in the time of the Old Testament may not have been as familiar with the devil's strategy as those living in these days. I believed it would have been more accurate to say that God allowed Hannah's womb to be closed rather than the other way around.
"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:" see James 1:13.
I want you to know that God is never to blame for anyone's problems! He might allow the problem to happen for a reason and for a season.
- Joseph Is An Example.
Joseph was the youngest and most beloved of Jacob's children. His brothers despised him and were not interested in supporting his dream. The brothers decided to sell Joseph to the Ishmaelites, who subsequently brought him to Portiphar after they were unable to kill him. The Bible's account of Joseph's life spans from chapters 37 to 50 in the book of Genesis.
When the time came for God to set Joseph free from prison, he made sure that everyone who had forgotten about him remembered him. He gave the dreams to Pharaoh that only Joseph could interpret! If Joseph hadn't been wrongly accused and put in prison, there was no way he could have fulfilled his destiny.
Think about that!
To others, what appeared to be the end of the road for Joseph actually marked the beginning of a lovely destiny God had prepared for him. "Don't give up" is the lesson here.
Perhaps your situation is comparable to Joseph's, and in Jesus' name, I pray that you finally shine like Joseph. Hannah laughed and shined at last. May you finally succeed in the name of Jesus. Don't give up, my friend; there is still hope! Perhaps you only considered one possible route to your victory. Never forget that there are countless doors that the all-powerful God has opened for you.
Generally, until you declare it over, it is not. I can see light. Together, we're going to rejoice in the name of Jesus. It is not over!
